Military and Veteran Recruiting
We’re committed to hiring our nation’s veterans and Guard and Reserve members. We pledge our support through many partnerships and resources to help transitioning military members and their families adjust to civilian life.
Interested in joining a formal program for transitioning veterans? Our Global Banking & Markets business is hosting a unique 10 week program for transitioning veterans including training and development, access to senior leaders, networking, market compensation and the opportunity to be considered for full time employment following.
Junior Military Officer Leadership Program
Bank of America’s Junior Military Officer Leadership Program is designed to give our veteran leaders the opportunity to successfully leverage military experience and skills in our corporate environment. This two year program is designed to provide veteran officer candidates (primarily JMO’s) with an opportunity for leadership positions in the bank’s technology and operational lines of business. Two 1-year rotational assignments during which potential roles/responsibilities may include:
- Operations Manager/Consultant
- Process Design Consultant
- Operations Risk Specialist
- Service Delivery Consultant
- Business Control/Support Manager
- Risk Technology

Consumer Banking Military Program – Market Leadership
The Consumer Banking Military program is designed to give the opportunity to successfully leverage military leadership experience and skills in our corporate environment. Bank of America strives to deliver a best in class rotational development opportunity for participants through experiential learning, training, and networking opportunities. We provide the necessary tools for participants to further manage their professional development, realize their future potential, and maximize their contributions to Bank of America.
The program develops future sales leaders while engaging them in challenging and business critical assignments in both non-client facing and client facing roles. Participants experience a 2-year rotational program rotating through areas of the Retail Banking organization.
Applications will open in January 2017 and close March 2017.
Global Banking and Markets - Veterans Associate Program
Are you a veteran interested in transitioning to a career within financial services? Do you know a veteran who would be great in a banking and markets role?
Our Global Banking & Markets (GBAM) business is offering candidates a unique opportunity to take part in a 10week, tailored program for transitioning veterans that allows participants to put their skills to work while exploring a new a career in the financial services industry. The program, now in its fourth year, includes formal and on-the-job training and development, access to senior leaders, networking activities, market compensation and a rare insight into the day-to-day as an employee within one of the world’s leading financial institutions. Following the program candidates will be eligible to be considered for full-time opportunities.
The program will take place in New York City from March 20 to May 26, 2017.

Our innovative learning series is customized for the employees we hire from the military, and their managers. The series connects employees to a virtual “battle buddy” and helps address some of the more common cultural challenges military employees encounter when transitioning to the corporate workplace

Military Support and Assistance Group
Our Military Support and Assistance Group (MSAG) connects veterans, family members and colleagues who simply want to show their support. MSAG helps members network, develop and in their careers, and give back to communities.
(MSAG) is an employee resource network for military employees, their colleagues, families and supporters. The group helps military employees connect with fellow veterans, while also offering opportunities to network and develop in their career. In partnership with Bank of America Community Volunteers, MSAG identifies volunteer efforts that serve to support the families of deployed Guard and Reserve employees. MSAG has also created the Veteran Transition Sponsor Program, which helps deploying military employees connect with others who have deployed. The employees receive coaching and mentorship from senior leaders on how to support their career while serving their country. Each deployed employee is assigned a sponsor who provides contact and support before, during and after their deployment to assist with their transition to and from their role within Bank of America. Sponsors also serve as a point of contact for family members, should they have questions or need assistance from someone with Bank of America.
